The AFC confirmed the eight venues and three host cities in January 2025. Earlier proposals had included Dammam and Abha, but neither is on the final list; Khobar's new Aramco Stadium is the Eastern Province venue. Total capacity across the eight grounds is about 293,000.

Riyadh: five stadiums

The King Fahd Sports City Stadium is the tournament's centrepiece: opening match on January 7, a round-of-16 tie, a quarter-final and the final on February 5, plus Saudi Arabia's group matches. The other Riyadh venues are the King Saud University Stadium (home of Al Nassr), the Kingdom Arena, the Imam Mohammed bin Saud University Stadium and the compact Al Shabab Stadium, the smallest ground at 13,000.

Jeddah: two stadiums

King Abdullah Sports City Stadium — known locally as "the Shining Jewel" — is the second-largest venue at 60,000 and stages group matches, a quarter-final and the semi-final on February 2. The Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Sports City Stadium (26,000) is Jeddah's second ground.

Khobar: Aramco Stadium

Aramco Stadium in Khobar is the only newly built venue for the tournament, a 45,000-seat ground in the Eastern Province that also features in Saudi Arabia's plans for the 2034 World Cup. The AFC's schedule uses it in every round except the final, including the semi-final on February 1, 2027.

How the eight stadiums are used

The 51 matches are spread across all eight grounds, with the biggest fixtures concentrated in the largest stadiums. King Fahd Sports City Stadium takes the opening match, a round-of-16 tie, a quarter-final and the final; King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah and Aramco Stadium in Khobar take the two semi-finals, and Kingdom Arena hosts one of the quarter-finals. The three smaller Riyadh university and club grounds — King Saud University, Imam Mohammed bin Saud University and Al Shabab — carry much of the group stage, which is why so many group games are played in the capital. Hosts Saudi Arabia play all three of their group matches in Riyadh.

The three host cities are far apart — Jeddah on the Red Sea, Khobar on the Gulf and Riyadh roughly in between — so teams and fans move between them by domestic flight rather than by road. Because two rest days separate each knockout round, a team can play in Khobar and Jeddah on consecutive rounds without a same-day trip.

A note on capacities

Capacities on this page are the figures printed on the AFC's official match schedule of May 13, 2026, and they match the venue list published when the stadiums were confirmed. Other reference sources give slightly different numbers — King Fahd Sports City Stadium is often listed at 70,000 and Al Shabab Stadium at 14,000 — because published capacities change with renovation work and with tournament seating layouts. If the AFC issues revised figures before January, this page will follow the AFC.
