Overview
The 2027 Women's World Cup is the first staged in South America. FIFA chose Brazil over a joint Belgium–Netherlands–Germany bid in May 2024. Eight host cities were confirmed in 2025, and the Maracanã in Rio de Janeiro hosts both the opening match on June 24 and the final on July 25.
The format matches 2023: 32 teams, eight groups of four, then a Round of 16 and three further knockout rounds. The final draw takes place on December 11, 2026 at the Museum of Modern Art (MAM) in Rio de Janeiro and is streamed on Netflix in the United States.
