World Cup 2030 tickets: when sales start and how FIFA sells them
No World Cup 2030 tickets are on sale, and none will be for some time. FIFA sells tickets for all of its tournaments directly through FIFA.com, has opened a register-your-interest form for 2030, and will announce sales windows nearer the tournament. This page explains how the 2026 sales phases worked, what that suggests for 2030, and why sites already offering 2030 tickets should be avoided.

Current status: not on sale
FIFA's 2030 tournament page says that ticket sale windows "will be announced in due course" and invites fans to register their interest at FIFA.com/tickets. That registration is free, creates nothing more than a mailing-list entry linked to a FIFA account, and is the only official step available in September 2026. There are no prices, no categories and no sales dates. Any website claiming to sell World Cup 2030 match tickets today is selling something it does not have.
How FIFA sold World Cup 2026 tickets
The 2026 process is the best guide to what 2030 will look like. FIFA ran four sales phases, each described on its sales-phases page and confirmed by host-city and consumer guides such as Wise and the Dallas Sports Commission:
| Phase | When | How it worked |
|---|---|---|
| Visa Presale Draw | Entry September 10–19, 2025 | Lottery open to holders of eligible Visa cards; winners were given time slots to buy |
| Early Ticket Draw | Entry October 27–31, 2025 | Lottery open to everyone with a FIFA ID, including a domestic exclusivity window for residents of the host countries; winners got purchase slots |
| Random Selection Draw | Entry December 11, 2025 – January 13, 2026 | Held after the final draw, so fans could apply for specific teams' matches; allocation by random draw |
| Last-Minute Sales Phase | April 1 – July 19, 2026 | First come, first served, in real time, until the end of the tournament |
Alongside the public phases FIFA ran an official resale platform for fans who could no longer attend, and a separate hospitality programme. Registration of interest for 2026 opened well over a year before the first phase.
What that suggests for 2030
FIFA has not published a 2030 timeline, so the following is an expectation drawn from the 2026 pattern, not a confirmed schedule:
- 2026–2028: register-your-interest only.
- Around nine months before the tournament (autumn 2029): a first lottery phase, possibly tied to a FIFA payment partner as in 2025.
- After the final draw (expected late 2029): a team-specific random-selection phase.
- Spring 2030: first-come, first-served sales until the final on July 21, 2030.
Two things could move those dates. The final draw date for 2030 has not been set, and the tournament's split across six countries — with centenary matches in Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay on the opening days — may mean separate sales arrangements for the South American matches. FIFA has not said anything about either.
Official channel only
FIFA states that tickets for all of its tournaments are sold to fans directly and exclusively via FIFA.com. For 2026 every purchase required a FIFA ID, tickets were mobile-only, and resale outside FIFA's platform breached the terms and could lead to cancellation. Expect the same in 2030.
Search results for "World Cup 2030 tickets" already contain dozens of unofficial sites quoting prices and taking deposits. None of them can hold inventory for a tournament whose ticketing has not started. Signs to watch for: prices shown before FIFA has announced any; "guaranteed" tickets; requests for payment now for delivery in 2030; and domain names that mix a host country's name with "2030 tickets". If you want to be first in line, the register-your-interest form is the only step that matters.
Hospitality packages
For 2026 FIFA sold official hospitality packages (match tickets bundled with lounge access and catering) through an appointed agency, with sales opening before general public tickets. FIFA has not appointed a 2030 hospitality provider or announced a programme; when it does, the details will appear on FIFA.com/tickets and this page will be updated.
