Euro 2028 tickets: sale phases, official channel and what to expect
Euro 2028 tickets are not yet on sale. UEFA has said that prices will be announced in autumn 2027 and that sales will open after the final draw, expected in December 2027, through UEFA.com only. In July 2026 it also set out a fan-focused pricing model with no dynamic pricing. This page explains what has been announced, how Euro 2024 sales worked as a precedent, and how to avoid unofficial sellers.

What UEFA has announced for Euro 2028
On July 16, 2026 UEFA published its Euro 2028 ticketing principles, reported by ESPN, Goal and others:
- Around 3 million tickets across the 51 matches.
- No dynamic pricing at any stage, and the same price structure for every regular group-stage match.
- More than 40% of tickets in the most affordable "Fans First" categories, with UEFA indicating it wants to keep those price points close to the €30 and €60 levels used at Euro 2024.
- More than 80% of tickets for fans of the competing teams and the general public, including 10,000 tickets per group match reserved for supporters of each of the two teams through their national associations.
- General public sales by application window and ballot, so queue position and speed do not matter.
- A single official channel, UEFA.com, with an official resale platform at face value and no seller fees.
- Tickets for disabled supporters at the lowest price category, with a free companion ticket on request.
The English FA had earlier confirmed to ESPN that dynamic pricing would not be used, in contrast to FIFA's approach at the 2026 World Cup. No prices have been published, and no dates beyond "autumn 2027" for prices and "after the final draw" for sales.
How Euro 2024 sales worked: the likely template
| Phase | When (Euro 2024) | How it worked |
|---|---|---|
| First public sales phase | October 3–26, 2023 | 1.2 million tickets; applications on UEFA's ticket portal, allocated by lottery with results on November 14 |
| Fans of participating teams | From December 2, 2023 (the final draw) to December 12 | Applications by supporters of the 21 qualified teams for their own matches |
| Final phase | March–April 2024 | Tickets for fans of the three play-off winners plus a last general sale |
| Resale platform | Spring 2024 until the tournament | Face-value resale through UEFA's portal only |
The main difference for 2028 is timing: UEFA's July 2026 statement puts the first public sale after the December 2027 draw rather than two months before it, which suggests a single combined public and team-fan application phase rather than Euro 2024's separate October ballot. UEFA has not confirmed the phase structure.
Expected timeline
| When | What | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Autumn 2027 | Prices and sales details announced | Announced by UEFA |
| December 2027 | Final draw; sales open afterwards | Announced by UEFA (draw date and venue not yet set) |
| March 2028 | Play-offs decide the last teams; further allocation for their fans expected | Expectation based on Euro 2024 |
| Spring 2028 | Resale platform and any last-minute sales | Expectation based on Euro 2024 |
| June 9, 2028 | Opening match, Cardiff | Confirmed |
Official channel and resale warnings
UEFA sells Euro tickets exclusively through UEFA.com and its ticketing portal; for Euro 2024 tickets were mobile-only, tied to a named account and could be transferred only within the app. UEFA has said the same principle applies to 2028, with an official face-value resale platform and nothing else.
With the tournament in the UK and Ireland, secondary-market listings will be widespread. Points to remember: no Euro 2028 tickets exist yet, so anything on sale today is speculative; UK law already restricts the resale of football tickets for designated matches; UEFA cancels tickets found on unauthorised platforms; and the official resale platform will be the only safe way to buy from another fan. Hospitality packages are sold separately by UEFA's appointed provider and have not yet been announced for 2028.
