Euro 2028

Euro 2028 host cities: London, Cardiff, Glasgow, Dublin, Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle, Birmingham

Euro 2028 is spread across eight cities in four countries: London, Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle and Birmingham in England, Glasgow in Scotland, Cardiff in Wales and Dublin in the Republic of Ireland. London has two stadiums and hosts 13 matches including the final; every other city has one ground. This page gives a short profile of each city with the matches UEFA has assigned to it.

Updated

London (Wembley Stadium and Tottenham Hotspur Stadium)

London is the only city with two venues and hosts 13 of the 51 matches. Wembley Stadium stages four group games (June 11, 14, 16 and 19), a quarter-final on June 30, both semi-finals on July 4 and 5 and the final on July 9 — the same final-week role it had at Euro 2020. England, as B1 group head, would play their group games at pre-selected venues; UEFA has not said which. Tottenham Hotspur Stadium hosts four group matches (June 12, 15, 18 and 21) and a Round of 16 tie on June 26. Wembley is the only ground without a Round of 16 match.

Cardiff (National Stadium of Wales)

The Principality Stadium, called the National Stadium of Wales for the tournament, opens Euro 2028 on Friday June 9 with a Group A match; Wales are pencilled in as A1 if they qualify, which would make it a home opener. Cardiff hosts six matches: four group games (June 9, 14, 18 and 21), a Round of 16 tie on June 24 and a quarter-final on July 1. It is Wales's first time staging European Championship matches.

Glasgow (Hampden Park)

Scotland's national stadium hosts six matches: group games on June 10, 13, 17 and 21, a Round of 16 tie on June 26 and a quarter-final on July 1. Scotland would be F1 group head and play their group matches at pre-selected grounds if they qualify. Hampden also hosted four games at Euro 2020.

Dublin (Dublin Arena)

The Aviva Stadium, known as Dublin Arena during the tournament, has the second-largest programme after Wembley with seven matches: five group games (June 10, 12, 16, 19 and 21), a Round of 16 tie on June 27 and a quarter-final on June 30. It is the only venue outside the UK and the first European Championship matches in the Republic of Ireland; Dublin had been due to host Euro 2020 games before losing them over spectator restrictions in 2021. The Republic of Ireland are E1 group head if they qualify.

Manchester (Manchester City Stadium)

The Etihad, listed as Manchester City Stadium by UEFA, was chosen ahead of Old Trafford for the bid. It hosts five matches: group games on June 10, 13, 16 and 20, and a Round of 16 tie on June 25. The stadium is being expanded before the tournament, which is one reason published capacities vary between sources.

Liverpool (Everton Stadium)

Everton's new ground at Bramley-Moore Dock, the Hill Dickinson Stadium, is the newest Euro 2028 venue and is listed by UEFA as Everton Stadium. It hosts five matches: group games on June 11, 14, 17 and 20, and a Round of 16 tie on June 24. It was still under construction when the bid was submitted and opened for the 2025–26 season.

Newcastle (St James' Park)

St James' Park hosts five matches: group games on June 12, 15, 17 and 20, and a Round of 16 tie on June 25. It is the most northerly English venue and, with Glasgow, gives the tournament a strong northern cluster; Newcastle also staged matches at Euro 96, the last time England hosted the tournament.

Birmingham (Villa Park)

Villa Park has the smallest programme with four matches: three group games (June 11, 15 and 20) and a Round of 16 tie on June 27. Aston Villa are expanding the ground before 2028. Villa Park was also a Euro 96 venue, hosting the tournament's first match.
