Both semi-finals are complete: Spain beat France 2–0 in Dallas on July 14 (M101), and defending champions Argentina came from behind to beat England 2–1 in Atlanta on July 15 (M102). Spain then beat Argentina 1–0 after extra time in the final on Sunday, July 19 at New York New Jersey Stadium, and the two losing semi-finalists met in the third-place play-off on July 18 in Miami, which England won 6–4.
